Enduro rider on a Kosovo mountain trail in late afternoon light — Highlanders after-work ride

Highlanders

The After-Work Ride

You've been thinking about it since this morning. You don't have to wait for Saturday.

Half a Day. Not Half a Ride.

You're at your desk. The bike is at home. Somewhere out past the city there's a trail you keep promising yourself. Highlanders is the group that actually goes.

You Pick the Hour

Once the group is together we agree a take-off time that works for everyone. We chase the light and you're home the same evening.

You Say Where

Tell us where you're riding from. We set the meeting point around the riders who are coming.

Your Bike or Ours

Bring your own machine, or roll up empty-handed and take one of ours.

What an Evening Out with the Highlanders Looks Like

Highlanders is Tad Adventure's half-day off-road ride, built for the weekday. Every other tour we run asks you to book time off. This one asks you to finish work. We head straight out of the city and into the hills, and you're back the same night.

Rides run on demand between April and October. When enough riders want the same day, it goes, Monday to Friday, and we set the meeting point around the people who signed up. Because the light changes across the season, the exact length of the ride moves with it: long, unhurried evenings in June, tighter and sharper in September. Your guide sets a route that fits both the daylight and the riders who turned up.

Every level is welcome. We ride with people who have never left tarmac and with people who have been doing this for decades — the terrain flexes, the welcome doesn't. If you're starting from zero, our 2-day Adventure Bike Training is the fastest way to get comfortable. If a half day leaves you wanting more, that's what Throttle Therapy and Elite Lines are for. Curious who's leading? Meet the crew.
