The agreement between us

Terms of Use

These terms cover the use of this website and every tour, training course and motorcycle rental you book with us: what you get, what it costs, how you pay, and what happens when plans change.

Last updated: 2 September 2026

1. Who you are dealing with

This website and the rides sold through it are operated by Tad Adventure, a company registered in the Republic of Kosovo.

By using this website or booking with us, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not book.

2. What we sell

We provide, in Kosovo and on cross-border routes into Albania and Montenegro:

  • guided multi-day off-road motorcycle tours;
  • half-day and single-day guided rides;
  • adventure bike training courses;
  • tailor made tours built around a group's dates, level and budget;
  • motorcycle rentals, with or without a guide.

What is included in each one, the riding level it suits and the equipment provided are described on that ride's own page on this site. Where a written itinerary or quote is sent to you before booking, that document describes the service you are buying and forms part of our agreement.

3. Prices and currency

All prices are quoted and charged in euro (EUR). The price shown on the page for a tour, course or rental, or the price in the written quote we send you, is the total payable to us for that service.

Prices do not include flights, travel to and from the meeting point, personal riding gear beyond what the ride page lists as provided, travel and medical insurance, personal spending, or fuel where the ride page says fuel is not included. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own currency conversion or foreign transaction fee, which is outside our control.

For rentals, a refundable security deposit of 400 EUR is taken at pickup by cash or card pre-authorisation, and is returned when the motorcycle comes back on time, undamaged and with a full tank. Fuel is full to full, and a returned bike with less than a full tank is charged the missing fuel plus a 15 EUR refuelling fee.

4. How a booking is made

You send an enquiry through the form on this site or by WhatsApp. We reply with availability, a proposed itinerary and a price. Nothing is reserved at this stage.

Your booking is confirmed only when we have received your payment and sent you a written confirmation by email or WhatsApp. That confirmation states the dates, the service, the amount paid and the balance still due, if any. Please check it and tell us straight away if anything is wrong.

Every rider must complete our Rider Information and Liability Waiver before departure, and a Rental Agreement as well if riding one of our motorcycles. We send these to you once your booking is confirmed.

5. Payment

You can pay a booking deposit and settle the balance before or on arrival, or pay the full amount up front. Which one applies to your booking is stated in the quote and in your confirmation.

Card payments are made through our bank's secure online payment page, which accepts Visa and Mastercard and uses 3-D Secure authentication. Card details are entered on the bank's system and are never seen or stored by us. We also accept bank transfer, and cash in euro for balances settled on arrival.

Where a balance is due before departure, it must reach us by the date given in your confirmation. If it does not, and we cannot reach you, we may treat the booking as cancelled by you and apply the cancellation terms below.

6. If you cancel

Tell us as early as you can, by email or WhatsApp. The date we receive your message is the cancellation date. Refunds are calculated on the total price of the booking:

  • 30 days or more before the start date: full refund of everything you have paid.
  • 14 to 29 days before the start date: 50 percent of the total price is refunded.
  • Less than 14 days before the start date, or no show: no refund.

Refunds go back to the card or account you paid from, in euro, within 14 days of us accepting the cancellation. Leaving a tour early, arriving late, or missing part of a ride does not entitle you to a refund for the days not ridden. If you need to move your dates instead of cancelling, ask us: we will move a booking to another date free of charge where the calendar allows it.

7. If we cancel or change something

If we cancel a ride for any reason, including too few riders, guide illness or conditions that make the route unsafe, you choose between a full refund of everything you have paid and moving your booking to another date at no extra cost.

Mountain weather and trail conditions change. Your guide may adjust the route, the accommodation or the daily schedule to keep the ride safe and worth doing. Changes of that kind are part of adventure riding and are not grounds for a refund, though we will always aim to deliver a ride of the same standard and length as the one you booked.

8. Riding with us

By booking, you confirm that:

  • you hold a valid motorcycle licence for the category of bike you will ride, and carry it;
  • the riding experience you declare to us is accurate;
  • you hold travel and medical insurance valid for off-road motorcycling for the whole of your trip, and we strongly recommend cover for trip cancellation and medical evacuation;
  • any motorcycle you bring yourself is roadworthy and legally insured;
  • you will wear a helmet at all times and follow local traffic law.

Off-road motorcycling carries real risk of injury, and the waiver you sign before departure sets out that risk and the release you give us in full. We can decline a booking, change your assigned motorcycle, or remove a rider from a ride without refund if their actual riding level does not match what they declared, if they ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or if they ignore safety instructions and put the group at risk.

Nothing in these terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our gross negligence or wilful misconduct, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under the law of the Republic of Kosovo.

9. Rentals

Rentals are governed by the Rental Agreement you sign at pickup, alongside these terms. In short: you are responsible for damage, loss or theft during the rental period up to the amount of the security deposit, and for the full repair or replacement cost where the damage follows a breach of the agreement, such as unauthorised use or riding under the influence. Traffic fines and penalties from the rental period are yours, including any that reach us afterwards. The bike may not leave the Republic of Kosovo without our written permission, and may not be ridden by anyone not named in the agreement.

10. This website

The text, photographs, route descriptions and logos on this site belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be copied or republished commercially without our written consent. We work to keep prices, dates and descriptions accurate, but obvious errors do not bind us: if a price is clearly wrong, we will tell you before taking payment and you can cancel with a full refund.

11. Complaints

If something goes wrong, tell your guide during the ride so we have a chance to fix it on the spot. If it is not resolved, write to hello@tad-adventure.com within 28 days of the end of your trip and we will reply within 14 days. If you have a question about a card payment, please contact us before raising it with your bank: most of these are a matter of a reference or an amount, and we can sort them out faster than a chargeback can.

12. Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Kosovo. Disputes we cannot settle between us go to the competent court in Prishtina.

We may update these terms, and the version published here when you book is the one that applies to your booking. How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
